Why choose the Block Method:
- Great for the planner or non-multitasker
- Students starting driver education when they are 14 years old.
- Students that want to focus on one aspect of driver education at a time.
- Students that are transferring from another course may transfer to the driving portion.
In the block method, all online classroom is completed first. Then the learner’s license is received, and the student focuses solely on driving.
Example:
A 14-year-old can spend a year focusing only on the 32 hours of online classroom. Then at 15, they receive a learner license and concentrate the whole next year only on driving instruction and practice until they are 16.
*Unfortunately, per state registration, this does not include the PTDE Program Guide.
*Students must be at least 15 years old to obtain a permit and at least 16 years old & hold a permit for a minimum of 6 months to qualify for a driver license (unless the student turns 18 within the 6 months).
